This sparking wine is the Blanc de Blancs Brut champagne of North Carolina vintner Biltmore Estates Winery. I purchased the particular bottle that this post is about in October 2009, when I took my parents on a weekend getaway for their upcoming November wedding anniversary.
It has flavors of ripe apple and pear, as well as hints of lemon.
I enjoyed mine chilled, as a champagne cocktail, using Angostura bitters, a pinch of sugar, a twist of lemon peel, and a maraschino cherry.
