This is a California Spumante. It tastes like pink champagne with raspberries in it. Great!

Corbett Canyon Chardonnay

Corbett Canyon is a medium dry, full-bodied Chardonnay. It has flavors of apples and pears with undertones of toasty oak.

Delicia Whipped

Delicia is a sweet sparkling wine. I had Delicia Whipped, which is like  whipped cream in a bottle! Yummy!

Southern Point Chardonnay

This is an American Chardonnay. I purchased mine at Walgreens. It is obviously oaked, with flavors of green apple, pear, and undertones of ripe tropical fruit.

Pinecroft Vineyards Chardonnay

This is an oaked California Chardonnay, with flavors of apple and pear.

Clos du Bois Chardonnay

This is an oaked California Chardonnay. It has flavors of apple, pear, and honeysuckle, with undertones of spice and vanilla. A treat!

Robert Mondavi Private Collection Chardonnay

This is an oaked Chardonnay, with flavors of lemon blossom, pineapple, and peach.

Fetzer Sundial Chardonnay

This Chardonnay is oaked. It has flavors of apple, pear, and tropical fruits.

Fisheye Chardonnay

This is a California oaked Chardonnay, with tastes of fresh apple and pear with vanilla undertones.

Barefoot Chardonnay

This is a California Chardonnay. It has flavors of green apples and peaches, with hints of honey and vanilla.
It is an oaked Chardonnay.

Segura Viudos Sparkling Wine

This is a sparkling wine like champagne, from Spain. It is brut(dry).

Lil' Koala Chardonnay

This is an Australian Chardonnay. It is oaked. It has flavors of peach and pear, with citrus undertones.
I had mine well chilled, as an aperitif. I purchased it at Aldi's.

Biltmore Estate Chardonnay Sur Lies

This is an oaked Chardonnay, with fresh fruit flavors. It is medium-bodied.
I had mine solo, as an aperitif, but it would be delightful with poultry and seafood.

Cupcake Chardonnay

This is a 2012 California Chardonnay. It is an oaked Chardonnay, with flavors of buttercream and citrus, as well as spicy undertones. Delicious with seafood, but I had mine solo, as an aperitif.

Sprinkle Chardonnay

This is a California oaked Chardonnay, with flavors of ripe apples, and tropical fruits.
Enjoy it with salads, or dessert. I had mine solo, as an aperitif.

Rex Goliath Chardonnay

This is a California oaked Chadonnay. It has flavors of pineapple and citrus.

Lindeman's Bin 65 Chardonnay

This is an Australian Chardonnay, from 2012. It has peach and melon flavors. It is an oaked Chardonnay, and is very smooth.

The Mixer

The Mixer is 2010 white wine from California. It is a mixture of Chardonnay, French Colombard, and Chenin Blanc. It tastes of citrus and apple. It is an oaked wine. I had mine as an aperitif.

Beringer Founder's Estate Chardonnay

This is a 2012 California Chardonnay. It has flavors of green apple and pear, with vanilla undertones. It is an oaked Chardonnay.

Calling All Angels Chardonnay

This is a 2011, California Chardonnay. It has citrus and pineapple flavors, as well as a hint of vanilla bean. It is an oaked Chardonnay.

Beaulieu Vineyards

This is a 2010 California Chardonnay. There are apple, tropical, and lemon flavors in this wine.
I had mine solo, as an aperitif.

Jacob's Creek Chardonnay

This is a 2012 Chardonnay, from Australia. It is an oaked wine, with flavors of lemon, ripe peach, and melon. I had mine solo, as an aperitif.

Simply Naked Chardonnay

This is an un-oaked, California Chardonnay. There are flavors of apple, melon, and pear, with an undertone of honey.
I had mine solo, as an aperitif.

The Naked Grape Chardonnay

This is a California Chardonnay. It has flavors of pineapple and peach.
I had mine solo, chilled, as an aperitif.

Kendall Jackson Vintner's Reserve Chardonnay

This is a 2012 California Chardonnay. It is oaked, with peach and mango flavors.
I had mine solo, as an apertif.

Barefoot Chardonnay

This is a California Chardonnay. It has flavors of green apples and ripe peaches.
There are undertones of honey, vanilla, and butter.
I had mine solo, as an aperitif.

Meridian Vineyards Chardonnay

This is a 2012 California Chardonnay.
It has flavors of pineapple and grapefruit, with touches of honeysuckle and vanilla.
I had mine as an aperitif, but it would be excellent with chicken or pasta as well.

Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi Chardonnay

This is an oaked California Chardonnay.
It has flavors of ripe pear and apple, with just a touch of vanilla undertone.

Winking Owl Chardonnay

This is an oaked California Chardonnay. It has flavors of ripe apple, pear, toasted oak, and just a hint of a spice undertone.
I had mine solo, as an aperitif, but this wine is excellent with roast chicken.

Fish Eye 2012 Chardonnay

This is an Australian Chardonnay, imported and bottled in California.
There are flavors of fresh apples and pears, as well as a hint of vanilla.
It is great with pasta salad, but I had mine before dinner, as an aperitif.
Excellent!

Fetzer Sundial Chardonnay

This is an oaked California Chardonnay. It has flavors of apple, pear and tropical fruits.
I know I recently reviewed this wine. but it bears repeating. It is excellent.
I had mine as an aperitif, but it would be perfect with fish, chicken, or pork, as well.

FlipFlop Chardonnay

This is a 2011 Chardonnay from California. It is rich and medium-bodied, with notes of vanilla and pineapple. It is an oaked Chardonnay.
I had mine alone as an aperitif, but it would be excellent with pasta, or a chicken Caesar salad.

Alamos Chardonnay

This wine is from Argentina. It is a Chardonnay. It's flavors are ripe apple and stone fruit.
I had it as an aperitif, but it is excellent with chicken or pasta dishes.

Robert Mondavi Private Selection Central Coast Chardonnay

This is a rich, oak barrel aged wine. It is from California. There are notes of lemon, pineapple, and peach.

Woodbridge Chardonnay by Robert Mondavi

This is a California Chardonnay. I have the 2012 vintage. It has bold fruit elements and spice undertones. It would be excellent with roasted chicken or with cheese, but I had mine alone, as an aperitif.

Alice White Chardonnay

This wine is from Australia. It has flavors of apple, pear, and melon.
It is definitely an oaked Chardonnay.

Folatre Chardonnay

This wine is a Chardonnay from Chile. The color is a brilliant yellow, like straw in the autumn sun.
There are flavors of tropical fruit, pineapple, and banana. It is robust and smooth. Excellent with seafood, chicken, and cheese. I had mine as an aperitif, before dinner.

Kendall-Jackson Vintner's Reserve Chardonnay

This is an oaked Chardonnay, with elements of pineapple, mango, and papaya, along with undertones of apple and citrus. Smooth, creamy, and wonderful!

Sea Glass Sauvignon Blanc

This is a California Sauvignon Blanc, with flavors of tropical fruit and a light acidity and grassiness.
Enjoy as I am, as an aperitif, or with pasta, shellfish, or salads.

Fetzer Sundial Chardonnay

A delightful white wine, with flavors of apple, pear, and tropical fruits.
Perfect with fish, chicken, or pork, but sublime on its own as an aperitif.

Delicia Whipped

Delicia Whipped is a sparkling malt beverage product. It is light and sweet, reminiscent of whipped cream, hence the name. There is no indication on the bottle who makes it or where it is made, but it is delicious!
An online search revealed that they make other flavors, such as peaches and cream, strawberries and cream, and red velvet.

Winking Owl Pinot Grigio

In a departure from my usual Chardonnay, I decided to try a bottle of pinot grigio by Winking Owl, which I picked up at Aldi. It is a delightful, light wine. It has flavors of citrus, pear, and just a touch of honeysuckle.
It is excellent paired with grilled salmon or pasta, but I just had mine as an aperitif.

Sangriana Sangria

I purchased a bottle of Sangriana sangria at Aldi. It is imported from Spain. I had mine over crushed ice, and with orange, lemon and lime cut up in it. Yummy!

Lil' Koala Chardonnay

Lil Koala is a Chardonnay from Australia. It is delightful, with luscious peach and pear flavors, with just a touch of citrus. It is medium-bodied, and best served chilled.
I had mine with cheese before dinner.

Robert Mondavi Private Selection

Robert Mondavi Private Selection is an excellent wine, with flavors of lemon blossom, pineapple, and peach.
It is oaked, and gives a smooth finish to any meal.

Yellowtail Chardonnay

Yellowtail Chardonnay has a delightfully smooth finish, with lots of tropical fruit flavors.
It is from Australia. Best enjoyed chilled, and with chicken dishes.

Flipflop Chardonnay

Flipflop Chardonnay is a medium-bodied, oaked Chardonnay from California. It has flavors of pineapple and vanilla, and is full and rich. It is especially suited to pairing with chicken dishes, but is delicious with h'ors d'oeuvres as well, or on its own as an aperitif.

Fetzer Sundial Chardonnay

Today I am have a glass of Fetzer Sundial Chardonnay. It is smooth and rich, with flavors of apple, pear, and tropical fruit. It's ideal with fish, chicken or even pork dishes. Or just enjoy a glass on its own, as I am doing.

Barefoot Chardonnay

It's a rainy evening in North Carolina, and I am kicking back with a glass of Barefoot Chardonnay, and enjoying the coolness. It is light and delightful, with flavors of green apples and peaches, and undertones of honey and vanilla. Smooth and creamy!

Hinnant Family Vineyards

Try a wine from Hinnant Family Vineyards in Pine Level, NC. They have muscadine and other fruit (blackberry, strawberry,etc) wines.
I recently m purchased one bottle each of the blackberry and strawberry, and both were excellent.
I made my purchases at The  Vino Shoppe, in High Point NC, as I have yet to visit the actual Hinnant Winery.

Barefoot Champagne

Last night with h'ors d'ouevres, I tasted Barefoot Bubbly, a champagne by Barefoot Vineyards in California.
It was a delight, with a clean, clear taste full of apple flavors. I had mine with cheese and fresh fruit.

Tisdale Chardonnay

Tisdale Chardonnay hails from Tisdale Vineyards in Modesto, California.
It has flavors of pineapple and lemon, and is heavily oaked.
It is a full-bodied wine best savored with dinner.

Wood Mill Winery Golden Scuppernong

Chilling a bottle of Wood Mill Winery Golden Scuppernong wine to enjoy at today's happy hour.
It is a sweet, buttery golden wine. Very mellow and smooth. Even better than their Red Muscadine, which is excellent as well. Not only good as an aperitif, it would make an excellent dessert wine as well.

Rodney Strong Chardonnay

Today's vintage is 2011 Rodney Strong Chardonnay, from Sonoma county, California.
The vineyard is family owned, and environmentally conscious. The grapes are grown in the cooler, more temperate areas of Sonoma county, near the Pacific Ocean.
The wine itself is spirited in flavor, with undertones of lemon and apple, and stronger flavors of oak and pineapple.It is wonderful as an aperitif, or with light seafood or chicken dishes.

Vendange Chardonnay

It's happy hour at the Green household! The first wine we're partaking of this evening is Vendange Chardonnay, from Australia.. I picked it up at K-Mart, so it's very easy to find. It's very smooth and mellow, with apple, pear, and oak flavors.

The Grape and Ale

The Grape and Ale is a terrific little wine shop in Oak Island, NC, that I always stop by when I am at the beach. They have an eclectic selection of beer, wine, and ale available, as well as wine-related gifts.
You can enjoy a glass of wine or a bottle of ale in their courtyard; free wifi is available.
They also have a wine club, in which you receive two bottles of wine per month.
They have a special North Carolina section, too.

Wood Mill Winery

On Saturday I went to the Farmer's Market in Greensboro, NC with my mom, and one of the vendors there was Wood Mill Winery, from Vale, NC. They produce a variety of fruit wines, such as scuppernong, muscadine, blueberry and blackberry. I sampled the Red Muscadine, the Golden Scuppernong, as well as a wine that was a blend of the two, and all were excellent. The Golden Scuppernong was especially smooth and mellow.

Chateau St. Jean

The next vintage I am tasting is a 2010 Chardonnay from Sonoma County, California, Chateau St. Jean.
It is a pale gold color in the glass, with flavors of pear, lemon and hazelnut. It is an oaked delight to be enjoyed and savored with friends.

The Vino Shoppe

I'd like to introduce everyone to a great little wine shop in High Point, NC: The Vino Shoppe.
They actually have two locations. The original one at 3800 Tinsley Drive, and then the Vino Shoppe at Emerywood, at 1102 North Main Street.
In addition to the marvelous wine selection, including a North Carolina wines section, they feature weekly wine tastings, wine by the glass, and even live music on the weekends.

Robert Mondavi Private Selection

The wine I chose for today's tasting is a 2008 Chardonnay, Robert Mondavi Private Selection.
I picked up a bottle at a local grocery store, Food Lion.
A pale yellow to straw colored wine, it is crisp, and definitely an oaked Chardonnay, from the California wine country.
There are apple and tropical fruit flavors, as well as spice undertones. It is a delight to enjoy chilled, on its own, or with h'ors d'oeuvres, or even a light chicken or fish dish.

Introduction

Hello! This is my first blog, and so I decided to blog about something I love and enjoy: wine!
Periodically I'll review wines, and give out other interesting little tidbits about wine and the wine industry along the way.
I prefer white wines, and so you'll find more of them reviewed than any other kind. More specifically, Chardonnays.
I am a wine drinker on a budget, so most of the wines reviewed will cost less than 20 dollars a bottle.
