Whispering pines is a medium-body oaked chardonnay. It was bottled in Spain, and purchesed at Walmart.
One thing I found that is very unusal about this white wine is the abundance of blackberry and raspberry. Chardonnays typically have aromas of ripe pear and apple,as well as tropical fruit. I could taste and smell the sun-ripened berries, in this one, which is quite a wonderful thing.
I enjoyed mine chilled as an aperitif. It would be wonderful with grilled chicken, or perhaps a pan of
of scallops seared in butter.
