Beringer Main and Vine Chardonnay

This is a dry, oaked Chardonnay from California. It is medium-bodied, with flavors of ripe apple and pear. I had mine chilled, as an aperitif.

2016 Belle Chardonnay

 This is a French Chardonnay. It is an oaked white wine, with a beautiful golden color. I had mine chilled,  as an aperitif. However, I think it would be excellent with grilled seafood or chicken dishes, or even pasta.

NC Wine Bloggers Summit today

Hello to everyone attending the first NC Wine Bloggers Summit, being held at Hanover Park Vineyards in Yadkinville, NC. I had planned to attend, but elected not to due to the weather conditions there today. Driving a ragtop convertible in unfamiliar territory and in wintry conditions was not something I felt comfortable doing. I am disappointed that I had to miss it, and look forward to future events. 

2016 Robert Mondavi Woodbridge Chardonnay

This is an oaked Chardonnay from California. It is medium-bodied, with flavors of ripe apple and pear, with undertones of vanilla and  toasted oak. I had mine chilled, as an aperitif. But it would be excellent with grilled seafood or pasta dishes.0

Winking Owl Chardonnay

This is a semi-dry, oaked Chardonnay from California, purchased at Aldi. It is medium-bodied, with flavors of ripe apple and pear, toasted oak undertones, and a hint of brown spice. I had mine chilled, as an aperitif, but it could be wonderful with grilled seafood.

Whispering Hills Chardonnay

This is an oaked Chardonnay, from Spain. It is a medium-bodied white wine, with flavors of green apple and ripe tropical fruit. There are undertones of toasted oak and rich vanilla. I had mine chilled, as an aperitif, but it would be excellent with any chicken or seafood dish.

2016 Childress Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc

This is a delightful white wine from NC winery Childress Vineyards. It has flavors of gooseberry, citrus, and ripe melon. It is fresh and crisp, with grapefruit undertones. I had mine chilled, as an aperitif before dinner, but I think it would be wonderful with any pasta dish.

Oak Leaf Vineyards Chardonnay

This is an oaked California white wine, and was purchased at Walmart. It is a medium-bodied wine, with flavors of green apple and pineapple, with an undertone of toasted oak. It is rich and smooth.
In spite of its low cost, I found it very palatable. I had mine chilled, as an aperitif, but I think it would be excellent with seafood and pasta dishes.I recommend it if you are looking for a Chardonnay and are on a budget.

2016 Flirty Bird Sauvignon Blanc

This is a white wine from Spain, purchased at Aldi. It is semi-dry, and light-bodied. It has flavors of ripe melon, citrus, and green apple. I had mine chilled, as an aperitif, but it would be excellent with seafood or chicken dishes.

Whispering Hills Chardonnay

This is a medium-bodied, oaked Chardonnay from Spain. It has flavors of green apple and ripe tropical fruits, with undertones of toasted oak and vanilla. I had mine chilled, as an aperitif, but it would be excellent with roasted chicken, seafood, and pasta dishes.
